We are thrilled to announce a new community garden at Pine Shore Park. The Pine Shore Community Garden exists to create and nurture community involvement and foster education and appreciation of gardening by providing a safe and enjoyable place for members committed to sustainable gardening practices to meet and share experiences.
Pine Shore Community Garden is located in Pine Shore Park on the southwest corner of N 5th Avenue and Valleyview Drive. The garden has ten (10) beds, each measuring approximately four (4) feet by eight (8) feet by two (2) feet. The garden is managed in a way to limit certain types of chemicals. The garden is operated collectively by its members, team of volunteers, and the City of Winder.
Garden plots are assigned by the City on a first come basis to qualified applicants.
All applicants must read and adhere to the Community Garden Rules, complete the Community Garden Application, and sign the Release of Claims form. You may download these documents below or pick-up hard copies from the City Clerk at Winder City Hall located on the 2nd floor at 25 E. Midland Ave., Winder, GA 30680. All completed and signed forms must be returned to the City Clerk no later than 5 PM on Thursday, March 14, 2019.
