The purpose of Winder Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is to foster the revitalization and redevelopment of Winder's Central Business District by facilitating projects that will promote trade, commerce, industry and employment opportunities. The authority consists of seven appointed members, each serving a term of office of 4 years and members may be re-appointed. All meetings are posted 72-hours in advance as needed. The public is welcome to attend all scheduled meetings.

The City Clerk serves as the Secretary-Treasurer to the DDA. To contact a member of the DDA, or to request meeting agendas and minutes, please contact the City Clerk's office at (678) 425-6805.

UPCOMING MEETINGS: The next meeting of the DDA/Main Street Board will be a work session on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from 1-5 PM at the Winder Community Center. The primary focus of the work session will be team-building exercises and discussing goals for the future. The meeting will be facilitated by our DCA Region 5 Representative. The public is welcome to attend, but please note that due to the nature of the work session there will not be a designated allotment for public input. If anyone has any questions or comments they would like to share with the Board prior to the work session, they can email the City Clerk by email or by phone at (678) 425-6805.

NEWS: The Winder DDA is now also a Main Street program affiliate. Main Street is a signature program for community development and revitalization in Georgia's historic downtowns. Georgia Main Streets represent some of the strongest central business districts in the state and in the Southeast. Main Street programs are instrumental in leading the state in historic preservation, small business development, expansion of the state's employment base, leveraging private investment, increasing tourism and providing a positive road map for public-private partnerships.
