City of Winder to host Celebrate America with POP 2000 Tour, fireworks and family fun
WINDER, Ga. — The City of Winder invites residents and visitors to Celebrate America on Saturday, July 4, from 3 to 9:30 p.m. at Jug Tavern Park. The free event will feature live entertainment, family activities, food and craft vendors, and a fireworks finale.
The celebration begins at 3 p.m. with an opening ceremony featuring a welcome to Winder, the National Anthem, and recognition of veterans and active military members.
Following the ceremony, attendees can enjoy music and family fun, including a trivia contest and water balloon toss. A free children's area featuring carnival-style games will be open throughout the event, along with food and craft vendors.
This year's entertainment lineup features "Here I Come Again," a Dolly Parton tribute show performed by Run Katie Run. The show celebrates Dolly Parton's legendary career with renditions of her greatest hits, along with stories and trivia about her life and music. The band has performed at Dollywood for the past five years and brings an energetic and uplifting performance to audiences of all ages.
At 5 p.m., the Georgia Boot Belles & Beaus will take the stage for a line dancing tutorial and demonstration. The group is dedicated to sharing its love of dance while supporting local causes and fostering community through service, unity and connection.
The evening continues with the nationally touring POP 2000 TOUR, hosted by Chris Kirkpatrick of *NSYNC. The concert features O-Town, BBMAK, Ryan Cabrera and LFO. The tour celebrates some of the biggest hits of the early 2000s and brings together artists whose songs helped define the TRL era.
Chris Kirkpatrick is best known as a founding member of *NSYNC and has also appeared on television programs including Celebrity Big Brother and The Masked Singer. O-Town rose to fame through MTV's Making the Band and produced hit songs including "Liquid Dreams" and "All or Nothing." Ryan Cabrera is known for hits including "On the Way Down," "True" and "Shine On," while LFO continues to perform fan favorites including "Summer Girls," "Girl on TV" and "Every Other Time."
The celebration will conclude with a fireworks display beginning at approximately 9:30 p.m.
