The City of Winder Police Department recognized the commitment and dedication of its officers in an awards ceremony held Nov. 20 at City Hall. The department recognized a recent promotion and recognized staff for awards and accomplishments.
I am incredibly proud of the officers and staff honored today,” said Police Chief Jim Fullington. “Their accomplishments reflect countless hours of hard work, teamwork, and dedication to the people of Winder. This ceremony is a reminder of the outstanding talent we have in this department and the impact each of them makes.”
Promotions
- Timothy Morris (above) was promoted to Corporal.

The event recognized team members for their accomplishments and acts of service.
- Stephen Smallwood (above), top fitness award for having the fastest time on the annual physical fitness test.
- Alex Maleski, 2024 Kiwanis Officer of the year
- Rikki Banks, 2025 Kiwanis Officer of the year
- Rachel Page, 2025 Lions Club Officer of the Year
