The City of Winder invites the community to celebrate fall at the annual Jug Tavern Festival on Saturday, November 8, from 12-8 p.m. at Jug Tavern Park. Presented by Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Barrow and sponsored by ESG, Akins, and The Yummy Sweets, this year’s event promises a full day of family fun, live entertainment, and community celebration.

Guests can enjoy carnival rides, food trucks, and local vendors throughout the day. From 12-3 p.m., families can explore a variety of activities including Touch-a-Truck, the Children’s Entrepreneur Market, a Car Show, and live music by Run Katie Run.

At 3 p.m., attendees can head to the Jug Tavern Stage for a line dancing tutorial with the Georgia Boots, followed by a special Veterans Day Ceremony from 4-5 p.m. inside the Community Center to honor local heroes, presented by the DAR Sunbury Chapter.

As the sun sets, the evening fun begins! Hot air balloon rides will lift off from 5-8 p.m. for $15 per person, with onsite registration starting at 4:30 p.m. The night concludes with a high-energy performance by The Swingin’ Medallions on the Jug Tavern Stage.

“With great food, local vendors, and live performances all day, the Jug Tavern Festival really showcases the best of Winder,” said Talore Ruedt, Director of Events for the City of Winder. “And with the Swingin’ Medallions closing out the night, it’s going to be a celebration to remember.”

Reserved tables will not be available this year. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets and enjoy an evening of great music and community spirit.

Car show participants can register for the Jug Tavern Festival Car Show online for $20 or onsite the morning of the event for $25. On-site registration will run from 10am-12pm.
