Show your school spirit and celebrate the new school year at TGIFF: Pep Rally on Friday, Sept. 5 from 6–9 p.m. at Jug Tavern Park in downtown Winder. This free event brings the community together for an evening of tailgate-style fun with inflatable games, a DJ, food trucks, and a 3D chalk art mural. Families can also capture memories at a roaming photo booth.
In addition to the festivities, the City of Winder is partnering with Apalachee High School to host a resource fair, offering support and information for those who may need it as the community marks the one-year anniversary of the tragic event at the school.
“TGIFF: Pep Rally is designed to be a fun and uplifting night for families, but it’s also a reminder of the strength of our community. By partnering with Apalachee High School for the resource fair, we’re making sure support is here for those who may need it as we come together,” said Talore Ruedt, Winder’s Event Director.
TGIFF (Thank Goodness It’s First Friday) is a monthly event series in downtown Winder, held from 6–9 p.m. on select Fridays in May, June, August, September, and October. Each event features a unique theme, food trucks, and family-friendly entertainment — all free to the public.
