On May 21, 2018, we became aware of an incident which affected the operability of the City of Winder’s computer network. We are working with law enforcement and leading third-party experts to address the issue. Our investigation, and the investigation of our third-party forensic investigators, is ongoing. We hope to know more very soon. Should we determine that any sensitive information was accessed or acquired, we will move quickly to notify potentially affected individuals and offer protections for those individuals. In the meantime, the City of Winder continues to be committed to the security of the information in our care and we will continue to work to respond to this incident and enhance the protections in place to protect our network.
Proposed Budget FY 2018-2019 (UPDATE)
On Monday, May 21, 2018, the proposed budget of the City of Winder for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2019, will be submitted by the Mayor to the City Council for consideration. Beginning May 21, 2018, the proposed budget will be available for inspection at no cost inside the Winder Customer Center, 45 East Athens Street, between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. Copies of the proposed budget can be purchased at the Customer Center for $.10 per page or on a CD for $2. The proposed budget will also be available for viewing and/or printing from the City’s website at www.cityofwinder.com on May 21, 2018.
On Thursday, May 24, 2018, at 6:00 pm, the City Council will hold a public hearing in the Council Chambers of the Community Center at 113 East Athens Street, Winder, GA, for the purpose of receiving comments on the City of Winder’s preliminary budget for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2019.
On Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at 6:00 pm, at the regular Council meeting held in the Council Chambers of the Community Center at 113 East Athens Street, Winder, GA, the Council will, among other agenda items, take final action on the City of Winder budget for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2019.
