Golf Course Operations Worker

Through the chain of command of the Golf Course Operations Manager, this position performs a variety of work in the daily operations of the Pro Shop at The Chimneys Golf Course. Duties included but are not limited to sales, customer service, processing of greens fees and golf cart rentals, setting up and closing the driving range, retrieving golf balls on the driving range, putting out golf carts and maintaining the cleanliness of the Pro Shop operations. 

  • Informs and advises the Golf Course Operations Manager through the proper chain of command on all department issues affecting the City’s property; golf course hazards; or any safety or fire hazards.
  • Provides efficient, helpful, and courteous service to all customers and guests in and around the ProShop.
  • Performs daily operations in the Pro Shop, including the sale of merchandise and greens fees; and assigns golf carts.
  • Performs general cleaning and custodial duties of the Pro Shop building, cart building, and grounds.
  • Performs marshal duties when needed.
  • Performs minor repairs on tools, machines, and equipment of the trade.
  • Performs fueling for the golf carts and small equipment.
  • Maintains the appearance of the golf carts.
  • Maintains driving range and retrieves golf balls as needed.
  • Maintains uniforms and other assigned equipment in functional and presentable condition.
  • Maintains safe-working practices.
  • Operates computerized payment and cash collection system.
  • Assists in special City events as required.
  • Works with other departments as assigned.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
