The Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers is a program of South Arts. Southern Circuit screenings are funded in part by a grant from South Arts in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. South Arts, a nonprofit regional arts organization, was founded in 1975 to build on the South's unique heritage and enhance the public value of the arts. South Arts' work responds to the arts environment and cultural trends with a regional perspective. South Arts offers an annual portfolio of activities designed to address the role of the arts in impacting the issues important to our region, and to link the South with the nation and the world through the arts. The Winder Cultural Arts Center is located at the intersection of East Athens Street and Park Avenue, just a block from the downtown Winder business district and is home to the Colleen O. Williams Theater - a state-of-the-art, fully equipped performance theater with comfortable seating for over 200, handicap accessible, with ample parking.
Winder is fortunate to be a participant for the Tour and, as we move into our second year as a host site, we can look back with pride at the six award winning AND thought provoking films we shared with our audiences last year, not to mention the talented artists who created those films. Here's our 2012 - 2013 Schedule. Click on each date to reach the page for that film.
