About the Cultural Arts Center
Strategically located at the intersection of East Athens Street and Park Avenue, only two short blocks from the downtown business district, the Winder Cultural Arts Center is a spacious, up-to-date meeting, teaching, and relaxing facility - specifically designed with easy access and the needs of every patron in mind.
Opening it's doors in 2007, the Winder Cultural Arts Center is the home of the COLLEEN O. WILLIAMS THEATER, a fully equipped, state-of-the-art, performance theater with comfortable seating for 0ver 200. "The Colleen" offers a large, easily adaptable performance area, ample wing and back stage space, and attached dressing and rest rooms.
Across the hall on one side is the dining and conference room, with full sound and video projection capability, an attached caterer's kitchen, and seating for over 100 for business or 90 for dining. One the opposite side of the building is a well-lit multipurpose classroom, large enough for business or departmental meetings or our ever-popular ballroom dance classes, yet intimate enough to serve as the Bride's Room for a growing number of weddings. Additionally, the facility houses the administrative, production, and editing spaces for WTV-21, the City of Winder's award winning government access cable television station.
So, spend a few minutes taking a mouse stroll through this website. See what we have accomplished so far, and imagine - with us - what is yet to come. When you've finished your "visit", you will understand why we are so proud of all that we have to offer to the citizens of Winder, Barrow County, and all of Northeast Georgia.
No matter what you have planned, if your next reception, party, wedding, or business meeting requires space for ten to two hundred, please consider the Winder Cultural Arts Center - proud to be a Partner-in-Education with the Barrow County Schools and a host site for the 2014 - 2015 Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers.
Then you too will see why we like to say:
"DON'T SETTLE FOR AN EVENT, AIM FOR A NIGHT ON THE TOWN!"
