Winder History
Winder has a long and fascinating history. From the discovery of the native village of Snodon in the years following the Revolutionary war to the incorporation of the town of Jug Tavern and on to its renaming as Winder in 1893, Winder has developed from a small settlers' outpost to a city at the crossroads of northeast Georgia.
