Captain Clifford Poole
Captain Poole began his career in law enforcement with the Winder Police Department in 1985. He is a veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1978 to 1984. He was also a member of the Georgia national Guard from 1984 to 1988. He is a graduate of Jefferson High School in Jefferson, Georgia, as well as the Northeast Georgia Police Academy. Captain Poole is currently working towards attaining an associate degree in Criminal Justice. He has worked his way through the ranks and currently serves as the Criminal Investigations Commander. he is responsible for the daily operations of that Division, as well as:
- Property Crimes Unit
- Crimes Against Persons Unit
- Evidence / Property Unit
- Crime Scene Tech Unit
- Narcotics Unit
- Internal Affairs
