The Winder Fire Department operations division is responsible for answering emergency calls within the city limits of Winder. This division responds to over 1000 calls a year for assistance. Additionally, they also respond to non emergency calls to assist our citizens. Operations consist of 2 strategically located fire stations, 3 engine companies, one ladder company, one rescue company, and one special response unit.

Winder Fire Station 1

Engine 1

Engine 1 is a 2005 Sutphen Corporation Shield Two Series with a 500-gallon water tank and a 1500 gallon per minute Hale pump. The truck also carries 800 feet of 5 inch hose, 1200 feet of 3 inch hose, 800 feet of 1.5 inch hose, and 200 feet of 2.5 inch hose.
Engine 1A

Engine 1A is a 1986 E-One pumper with a 750-gallon water tank and a 1250 gallons per minute Hale pump.
Ladder 1

Ladder 1 is a 1975 American LaFrance with a 75' telesquirt, a 200-gallon water tank and a 1250 gallons per minute pump. Ladder 1 also carries a full compliment of ground ladders.
Rescue 1

Rescue 1 is a 2007 EVI Ford F550 Rescue Truck.
Winder 203

Winder 203 is a 2007 Ford E350SD Commercial Cargo Van.
Rescue Trailer

Technical support trailer equipped with 1st responders equipment and supplies.
   

Winder Fire Station 2

Engine 2

Engine 2 is a 1999 E-One pumper with a 1250 gallons per minute pump.
Boat 2

Boat 2 is a fourteen (14) foot flat bottom boat. Boat 2 is used for open water rescue at Fort Yargo and other surrounding bodies of water.
