City Clerk

The office of City Clerk is appointed by the Mayor and Council and is responsible for records management activities which include directing and coordinating all records management matters. The Clerk serves as secretary to the Mayor and Council, keeping minutes of all applicable meetings and maintaining books containing ordinances and resolutions passed by the Mayor and Council. The Clerk serves as a liaison between the public sector and elected officials.

In addition to record keeping duties, the City Clerk serves as Superintendent of municipal elections as well as coordinating personnel matters of City employees to ensure compliance with local, state and federal requirements.
